Description
It’s the 3rd of March of the Immortal Martial era. Under the Sect Leader’s unremitting efforts, the Qingyun Dao Sect finally welcomes its eighth disciple, Ye Ping. In order to make Ye Ping stay and to earn his respect, everyone in the sect resorts to all sorts of tricks to deceive him. They boast and pretend to be peerless Sword Dao experts, geniuses in cultivation, alchemy, refinement, divination, alchemy arrays, treasure appraising, and sons of destiny. For the sake of maintaining the image of geniuses, they teach Ye Ping all sorts of nonsensical things. They make Ye Ping try to gain an epiphany out of a random sword mark. They take out a random big pot and make Ye Ping refine supreme-grade pills with it. They take out a random copper coin and make Ye Ping deduce the ultimate heavenly secret. They initially hope to just delay the time that Ye Ping discovers the truth so that he would stay in the sect for a while longer. However, to their surprise, their new little Junior Brother… manages to learn everything.

My Thoughts on No Way People Find Cultivation Difficult, Right?
"No Way People Find Cultivation Difficult, Right?" promised a comedic xianxia romp, and for a while, it delivered. It's a story built on misunderstandings, a trope I usually enjoy when done well. While the overall reader score is a mixed bag, I can see both the appeal and the frustrations.
First Impressions
The premise is certainly intriguing: a humble scholar transmigrates and joins a struggling sect. Due to his past life reading xianxia novels, he misinterprets the sect's poverty and questionable teaching methods as profound secrets only he can unlock. The early chapters are genuinely funny, with the MC's earnestness clashing against the sect's "fake it 'til you make it" attitude.
What Works Well
The humor, when it hits, is great. The side characters, especially the senior brothers and sisters, are endearing and add to the comedic chaos. I found the protagonist's personality to be quite likable, especially his humility and dedication. The story initially excels at creating believable misunderstandings that drive the plot forward. The comedic elements feel inspired by Stephen Chow's style, where ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things.
Areas of Concern
Unfortunately, the novel seems to lose its way around the halfway point. The humor becomes repetitive, and the plot starts to rely on tired xianxia clichés. The focus shifts away from the MC, and interesting plot threads are abandoned. The pacing becomes erratic, with rushed conclusions and unsatisfying resolutions. Some feel the author nerfed the main character and turned him into a generic xianxia protagonist.

Final Verdict
"No Way People Find Cultivation Difficult, Right?" is a mixed bag. The first half is a fun, comedic ride with a unique premise and engaging characters. However, the second half suffers from pacing issues, repetitive humor, and a reliance on tired tropes. If you're looking for a lighthearted, comedic xianxia novel and are willing to overlook its flaws, it might be worth a try. However, be prepared for a potential drop in quality as the story progresses. Ultimately, I'd give it a tentative recommendation with a strong caveat: approach with caution.
