My Thoughts on Mayday Mayday Mayday
First Impressions
Alright, so I dove into "Mayday Mayday Mayday" with a blank slate, and honestly, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The premise, involving a protagonist working for a mafia boss, certainly piqued my interest. I was hoping for a thrilling story and from the initial chapters, I felt I was in the right place.
What Works Well
The novel definitely delivers on its promise of being enjoyable. The plot is engaging, and I found myself invested in the characters' relationships. The comedy woven throughout the story is a definite plus, preventing the heavier themes from becoming too overwhelming. The relationship between the MC and the mafia boss is interesting, and I appreciated the dynamic between them. I also liked the character growth that I saw throughout the book.
Areas of Concern
While I found the story enjoyable, there were a few areas where I think it could have been stronger. At times, the plot felt a little simplistic, and I would have loved to see more depth and complexity in the storyline.
