This web novel promised a cute, easy-going romance with a marriage of convenience, and while it delivered on some fronts, it also presented some unexpected emotional complexities. Overall, it was a decent read, but with a few caveats.

I appreciated the author's exploration of the characters’ flaws and reactions. The female lead's bravery in pursuing a man she's loved from afar is admirable. The male lead's journey of healing from past heartbreak and learning to love his wife felt genuine. The communication between the couple, for the most part, was a strong point, making their relationship feel more realistic. The initial stages of their romance were quite touching, and it was easy to root for them.
Areas of Concern
While the story has its charms, I found some aspects frustrating. The introduction of the male lead's ex-lover threw a wrench in the works. His reaction to her return, including his sometimes cowardly behavior and emotional distance, created unnecessary conflict and made the female lead feel insecure. I would have liked to see the female lead develop more as an individual, separate from her relationship. Some solo character growth would have been beneficial, allowing her to understand her worth beyond her connection to the male lead. The actions of the female lead's mother were also a point of frustration, and I wish there had been more accountability for her hurtful behavior.
