Description
Yu Tiantian transmigrated into a cannon fodder supporting female character in a period drama. The supporting female character married the foolish younger brother of the male lead. After marriage, the supporting female character was dissatisfied with her foolish husband and often flirted with the male lead behind his back, using means to bully the foolish brother. The foolish brother, naive and simple-minded, endured her bullying silently. Eventually, she pushed him into the river, drowning him. When Yu Tiantian transmigrated, it happened to be her wedding night with the foolish brother. Looking at her handsome yet foolish husband, Yu Tiantian: “…” She wanted to cry but couldn’t shed a tear. Yu Tiantian was protective by nature. Although she was dissatisfied with transmigrating in such a manner and ending up with a foolish husband, she wouldn’t tolerate others bullying him. Whenever someone bullied him, she would protect him like a mother hen guarding her chicks. … Xiao Heng was reborn. After his rebirth, he wasn’t foolish anymore; he was exceptionally intelligent. On their wedding night, he thought this beautiful yet treacherous wife would make him sleep on the cold floor like in their previous life, not even giving him a blanket. However, to his surprise, she asked him to sleep together on the bed. Not only that, in their previous life, she always made him sneakily steal bird eggs for her to eat. If he failed to get the eggs, she would pinch him all over, leaving him covered in bruises. But in this life, this wife found ways to get delicious food for him and instructed him not to tell anyone. Xiao Heng: “…” He couldn’t help but feel that his wife had also been reborn. But later, he learned that his wife hadn’t been reborn, but…

Married to the Male Lead’s Foolish Younger Brother [70s] Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator
My Thoughts on Married to the Male Lead’s Foolish Younger Brother [70s]
"Married to the Male Lead’s Foolish Younger Brother [70s]" promised a cozy slice-of-life journey with a touch of transmigration and a dash of special abilities. While it delivered on some fronts, I found myself ultimately wanting more depth and a more satisfying conclusion.
First Impressions
The premise is certainly intriguing: a modern woman transmigrating into the body of a woman in the 1970s, married to a man pretending to be foolish. The initial setup had me hooked, eager to see how she'd navigate the era, manage her "golden finger" supermarket, and uncover the secrets surrounding her seemingly simple life.
What Works Well
The novel shines in its depiction of daily life in the 70s. The descriptions of cooking and market trips, while perhaps repetitive, offered a glimpse into the era's atmosphere. The romance, while not intensely passionate, was a decent backdrop to the main story. I appreciated the author's focus on domesticity and building a life, even if it sometimes felt a bit too uneventful.
Areas of Concern
My biggest issue lies with the pacing and the lack of resolution in several key plot points. The "golden finger" supermarket felt underutilized, almost like an afterthought. I also felt that the ending was too abrupt, leaving several questions unanswered. What about the MC's original family? What about the family of the original body? What about the ML's future? These dangling threads detracted from my overall enjoyment. The villains were also portrayed as extremely wicked, and the story seemed to gloss over some of their actions. It was also frustrating that the MC never found out that the ML was faking his idiocy.

Final Verdict
"Married to the Male Lead’s Foolish Younger Brother [70s]" is an okay read if you're looking for a light, fluffy story with a focus on slice-of-life elements. However, be prepared for a somewhat incomplete narrative and a lack of closure on several key plot points. It's a pleasant enough distraction, but ultimately, it didn't quite live up to its full potential. I would rate it a 3 out of 5.
