My Thoughts on Little Fool
"Little Fool" certainly presented me with a unique reading experience. Going in, I was intrigued by the combination of a cute, naive protagonist in a futuristic setting, especially with the "male yandere" tag thrown in. The premise had potential, but the execution left me with mixed feelings.
First Impressions
The initial chapters were engaging enough, drawing me into the world and introducing the main characters. I found myself rooting for the protagonist, whose positive attitude and resilience, despite his disabilities, were genuinely endearing. However, the dynamic between him and the male lead quickly became...problematic, to say the least.
What Works Well
I appreciated the author's ability to create a character I genuinely cared about. The protagonist's vulnerabilities and his unwavering optimism in the face of adversity made him someone I wanted to see succeed. The futuristic setting also added a layer of intrigue, even though it wasn't always the primary focus. The writing itself is decent, and the translation is well done, which made the story flow smoothly.
Areas of Concern
The biggest issue I had was with the male lead's behavior. His actions towards the protagonist felt excessively cruel and manipulative, even for a "yandere" character. It was difficult to reconcile his possessiveness with any genuine affection, and I struggled to understand the protagonist's potential attraction to him. This dynamic created a sense of unease that overshadowed much of the story.

However, if you prefer healthier relationships, I'd recommend approaching this one with caution. Ultimately, I'm left feeling conflicted – appreciative of the protagonist's charm but deeply disturbed by the male lead's actions.
