My Thoughts on Lie Crusher

"Lie Crusher" promised a fun blend of comedy, romance, and a peek into the entertainment industry, and for the most part, it delivered. The premise of a paparazzi transmigrating into the body of a hated celebrity was certainly intriguing, and I dove in hoping for a wild ride.

First Impressions

The initial chapters hooked me with the FL's unique skillset. Her background as a war correspondent-turned-paparazzi gave her an edge and a depth I wasn't expecting. Watching her navigate the world with her cunning and disguise skills was definitely a highlight. The early face-slapping moments were satisfying, and the initial interactions between the leads were promising.

What Works Well

What I enjoyed most was the FL's dedication to her original profession. Instead of magically becoming the best actress, she used her skills to expose the dark underbelly of the entertainment world. The ML, with his cold exterior and secret love for gossip (complete with a trumpet!), was also a fun twist on the typical CEO archetype. The cases she uncovers are well-strung together and uncover some dark secrets. The story has a lot of humor, some parts are well-written and funny.

Areas of Concern

While I enjoyed the overall story, the romance felt a bit rushed. The FL's sudden realization of her feelings for the ML felt forced, lacking the build-up I would have liked to see. Some of the humor also missed the mark for me, relying on ridiculous scenarios that didn't quite land.
