The premise is undeniably intriguing. A protagonist suddenly thrust into a position of power within the SCP Foundation, wielding some kind of ability-stealing power? Sign me up! However, my initial enthusiasm was quickly tempered by some recurring themes in the early chapters.

There's a definite appeal to the comedic undertones that run through the story. The author manages to inject humor into what could easily be a relentlessly grim setting, and that's a definite plus. I found myself appreciating the protagonist's observational skills and intelligence, which peek through despite his often abrasive exterior. This complexity makes him more than just a one-dimensional character. Also, the SCP elements are well-integrated, creating a compelling backdrop for the unfolding events.
Areas of Concern
The main sticking point for me, and what seems to be a divisive element for many, is the protagonist's personality. His "trash talk" and seemingly arrogant attitude can be grating at times. While some readers find it funny or even a deliberate tactic, I can see how it could easily become tiresome. I did find myself wondering if his interactions with the female doctor might lead to romance, but it seems the author is intentionally subverting those expectations, focusing instead on a platonic or sibling-like dynamic.
