The premise is just so out there, and the fact that it's set in a post-apocalyptic world adds another layer of intrigue. I was immediately curious to see how the author would pull this off, and honestly, I was hooked from the start.

What Works Well

The absolute charm of the main character is a huge win. Her naivete and innocence, especially considering the harsh world she inhabits, make her incredibly endearing. The author did a great job of portraying her non-human perspective, which is something I always appreciate in stories like this. It's so easy for non-human characters to just act like humans in disguise, but this story really leans into the FL's unique nature. The male lead is also a great foil to her, being more taciturn and grounded. Their relationship, while perhaps a bit rushed, is ultimately very sweet and satisfying. Honestly, my biggest issue with this novel is its length. It's just too short! I found myself wanting so much more detail, especially regarding the world and the original story the MC transmigrated into. The relationship between the main characters could have been explored further, and I definitely wanted more scenes with their kids. It felt like the story was just starting to hit its stride when it ended. I think fleshing out the plot more would have made this good story truly great.
