Description
I possessed an extra rabbit in a Rofan novel, so I decided to be the guardian of ‘Kyle Roden’, a black hearted man abandoned in the polar region. Kyle tried to kill the male lead who took away the female lead he loved. He was a wolf banished to the polar region and was the villain of the original novel. “I’ll give you whatever you want, so take me home with you.” However, when he went to the female lead, he was abandoned and eventually died at the hands of the male lead. I couldn’t let my favorite end up like that. “I will be your guardian, so come with me instead.” I honestly didn’t intend to be the lover of Kyle. It’s just about opening his eyes to the presence of other people not just the female protagonist. The goal was to make him let go of his obsession with the female lead and deviate from the original ending. But despite all my efforts, I couldn’t change his mind. In the end, I gave up and tried to leave his side.. “You’re leaving me?” There was something strange about Kyle’s appearance when he came to see me. He stood in front of me and spoke with cool eyes shining. “You can’t lure someone and then get rid of them like this.”

My Thoughts on I Picked Up an Abandoned Villain in the Polar Region
This novel was quite the journey, and I'm glad I took the time to read it. "I Picked Up an Abandoned Villain in the Polar Region" offers a unique take on the villain redemption arc, and I found myself thoroughly invested in the characters and their growth.
First Impressions
Initially, I wasn't sure what to expect. The premise seemed interesting, but I've been burned by similar stories before. I was quickly drawn in by the dynamic between Brody, the "shameless" rabbit protagonist, and Kyle, the actual villain. I found the early chapters to be somewhat frustrating because of Kyle's behavior, but knew to trust the process and see where the story would take them.
What Works Well
The character development is definitely the strongest aspect of this novel. Kyle isn't just a misunderstood softie; he's genuinely flawed and makes terrible choices. Watching him slowly confront his past and grow into a better person felt earned and realistic. Brody, on the other hand, is a ray of sunshine. Her unwavering kindness and determination to help Kyle, even when he's being a jerk, is truly admirable. I also appreciated the world-building, with its diverse beastmen species and unique magical elements. It added a layer of depth and immersion to the story. The romance, while not the sole focus, is a satisfying slow burn. It stems from their shared experiences and mutual growth, making it all the more rewarding.
Areas of Concern
If I had to nitpick, I would say that the ending felt a bit rushed. I would have loved to see more of Kyle and Brody's life together after their adventure. A few more side stories or epilogue chapters would have been welcome. I also agree that the world-building could have been more fleshed out. Some aspects of the world and the MC's background felt a bit underdeveloped.

Final Verdict
Overall, "I Picked Up an Abandoned Villain in the Polar Region" is a heartwarming and engaging novel with well-developed characters and a compelling story. Despite a few minor flaws, it's a worthwhile read for anyone who enjoys character-driven stories with a touch of fantasy and romance. I'd highly recommend it!
