Watching her emerge from the shadow of her unrequited love and embrace a new path, even within the confines of a political marriage, was genuinely satisfying. The way she learns to value herself and find happiness outside of her initial obsession is a testament to her growth. I also appreciated the initial setup with Zhou Yanzhi, the former ML. The author did a solid job portraying the push and pull, his sense of duty versus his feelings, and why the FL was so drawn to him. The early romance in the Southern Kingdom was good, even if it was a subplot.
