First Impressions
The premise is intriguing: a man accidentally kills the ML's pregnant wife and pays the price. But the story quickly spirals into a web of revenge, obsession, and interconnected tragedies. It’s the kind of story that grabs you from the prologue and refuses to let go, even when you desperately want to look away. Be warned, this novel isn't for the faint of heart.
What Works Well
What truly shines is the interconnectedness of the characters' actions and their devastating consequences. The author masterfully weaves a narrative where everyone is, to some extent, responsible for the unfolding tragedy. The ML's evolution, though controversial, is compelling. Seeing him slowly transition from a vengeful tormentor to someone capable of genuine affection is a testament to the author's skill.
