Description

"Carefree Scholar" presented itself as a relaxed journey through ancient China, and for the most part, it delivered. While it might not be the most action-packed historical drama, it offered a pleasant slice-of-life experience that I found quite enjoyable.

The initial premise, with our modern-day protagonist reincarnating as a penniless scholar and then being essentially "kidnapped" into marriage by bandits, definitely piqued my interest. It's a unique starting point that sets the stage for the MC's unconventional path. I dove in expecting a lighthearted story, and that's largely what I got.

The strongest aspect of "Carefree Scholar" is its focus on character development and world-building. The author paints a vivid picture of life in ancient China, and I appreciated the slow-burn approach to the plot.
