My Thoughts on Bleach: Secret Intentions
Okay, Bleach fans, buckle up! I dove into "Bleach: Secret Intentions" with a healthy dose of skepticism, but I came out the other side surprisingly pleased. This fanfic offers a fresh perspective on the Bleach universe, and while it's not perfect, it's definitely worth a read if you're craving more Soul Society goodness.
First Impressions
The premise is familiar: a transmigrator thrown into the Bleach world. However, what immediately grabbed me was the early setting, starting with Rukia and Renji as kids. I found this a nice touch, allowing the MC to develop alongside familiar characters and carve out his own niche. The initial pace is quick, which works well to establish the MC's character and get the ball rolling.
What Works Well
I really appreciated the MC's development. He's portrayed as a genius, but not to an absurd degree. He has to work for his power, applying scientific principles to his abilities in a way that feels believable within the Bleach universe. The romance is also a strong point. It's monogamous, which I personally prefer, and the relationship is built gradually with some "fluffy" moments.
The author's commitment to the original Bleach material is evident. The story stays true to the core events for a while before diverging, and even then, the changes feel organic. It seems the author has really studied the techniques and the world, because everything fits logically. The fight scenes are also pretty cool.
Areas of Concern
The translation quality, while improving, can still be a bit rough around the edges. Also, the MC's almost complete detachment from Ichigo and his friends felt a bit strange. Ichigo is relegated to a very minor role, which might disappoint some readers who enjoy the original dynamic.

Despite a few flaws, "Bleach: Secret Intentions" is a solid fanfic that I would recommend to any Bleach enthusiast. The well-developed MC, engaging plot, and satisfying romance make it a worthwhile read. Just be prepared for some translation quirks and a slightly different take on the original storyline.
