The early chapters pulled me in with their creative world-building and the promise of character growth. The translation quality is also superb, making the story easy to immerse myself in.

The MC is mostly focused on survival and stockpiling everything she and her family would need. I enjoyed watching the FL's gradual growth, she's clearheaded and powerful but not cruel. She helps when she can but she doesn’t have a martyr complex.

While I enjoyed the core story, I did find some aspects less compelling. The romance is very minimal, I wished there was a little more development of the ML. And the food descriptions, while initially appealing, became repetitive and tedious after a while. They felt like filler. This is a small gripe, but it's worth noting if you're not a fan of lengthy descriptions. The ending was also a little too open-ended.
