She likes to feel that she's protected, and she loves the security her boss brings her.

The biggest issue I see is the potential for the ML's behavior to cross the line into problematic. Some readers may find his actions overbearing or even borderline abusive, especially his mind-reading and initial treatment of the MC. Additionally, the ending feels abrupt and leaves several questions unanswered.
