This leads to a series of events, including the death of a professor who, in turn, grants An Yin Hu eternal youth (or at least, a regression to his teenage years). He then decides to look after the professor's children, one of whom becomes the love interest. It's a wild ride from the get-go.
What Works Well
The sheer audacity of the plot is a major draw. The story isn't afraid to throw curveballs, shifting from a mafia setting to an archeological expedition and back again. I particularly enjoyed the initial arc involving the demon city and the professor. The tension and danger felt palpable, and the stakes were high. The idea of a hardened mobster suddenly becoming a protective guardian to a family is also quite compelling. I'm especially intrigued by the complex family dynamics and the underlying issues each of the professor's children are facing. The potential for intense, slow-burn romantic tension is definitely there.
Areas of Concern
One aspect that gave me pause was the initial setup of the romance. The fact that the protagonist seemed more invested in the professor than his son raised some questions for me. I hope the author can effectively develop the relationship between An Yin Hu and Mo Cong in a way that feels natural and believable, especially considering the age regression element.
