Description
With an intent of retaliation, Kwon Taejung who happened to cause an embarrassing accident, was suddenly relieved of all his duties and was fired from the company. It’s a total landmark of the slum.” The broadcasting team of the program, “The nightmare of slums” requested an interview from Yigyeom for a follow-up report. So that there were no arising issues regarding the demolition of Daramdong, Kwon Taejung thought to approach Yigyeom to stop the broadcast. Yigyeom who had been suffering under the demolition management of the slum for long, misunderstood Kwon Taejung as the new thug like service chief and Kwon Taejung didn’t correct his misunderstanding. After all, the Daramdong was planned to be demolished in 3 months anyway and there would be no chances to meet Yigyeom after that, so it was better to let him consider him as a thug until then, Kwon Taejung thought. But Kwon Taejung could smell the somewhat sweetish peach smell Yigyeom emitted but it was unusual for a beta, which Kwon Taejung assumed Yigyeom was. But once he was aware of the fact, Yigyeom was an omega, his interest towards him slowly piqued. Forgetting that his initial plan was to obstruct the broadcast, he was steadily being absorbed in the strange feeling he felt towards Yigyeom. There would be times when Kwon Taejung would distract him off his tracks, as childish as it was, but whenever there would be times where Yigyeom would wither, Kwon Taejung would stay by his side and his once closed heart would start to open. As the strange feelings grew towards each other, they became close without knowing they had different objectives.

My Thoughts on Warm Boy
"Warm Boy" is a completed yaoi novel that I found myself both charmed and slightly frustrated by. It's a story about a sweet, perhaps even a bit naive, protagonist burdened with debt who finds himself swept off his feet by a wealthy and doting love interest. While the premise isn't groundbreaking, the execution has some genuinely endearing qualities.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the promise of a low-angst, fluffy romance. And in many ways, the story delivers on that. The early chapters are particularly enjoyable, establishing the connection between the two leads and showcasing the male lead's (ML) considerable affection. I appreciated that the ML wasn't portrayed as a typical overbearing alpha, which is a refreshing change of pace in this genre.
What Works Well
The strongest aspect of "Warm Boy" is the central relationship. The dynamic between the leads is undeniably cute, with the ML showering the MC with affection and support. Many readers have highlighted the "green flag" nature of the ML, and I agree – he's mature, straightforward, and genuinely caring. The lack of drawn-out drama is also a plus for those seeking a lighthearted read. The pacing, for the most part, keeps the story moving, and when the characters aren't getting intimate, they're being honest and supportive. The family dynamic is also a breath of fresh air.
Areas of Concern
However, the story does have its drawbacks. Several readers have pointed out the age gap between the characters and the potential for the ML to infantilize the MC. I can see where they're coming from; at times, the ML's pampering can feel a bit excessive, blurring the lines between partner and caretaker. The plot itself is fairly cliché, and the rapid progression of the relationship might strain believability for some. While the lack of angst is appealing, it also means that the central conflict resolves rather quickly, leaving the remaining chapters feeling somewhat repetitive and focused primarily on smut.
