I was immediately intrigued by the premise of a female protagonist navigating a complex family situation with a hint of magic thrown in for good measure. I was expecting a slow burn, maybe some cute interactions, but I quickly realized this story had a few surprises up its sleeve.
What Works Well
The dynamic between the characters is definitely a strong point. Ardion, in particular, stood out to me as a character with depth and a surprising amount of emotional intelligence. He's not your typical brooding, possessive male lead (well, not entirely). His proactive nature and willingness to communicate his feelings were refreshing. The plot, while not groundbreaking, held my attention. There were enough schemes and conspiracies to keep me guessing, and I appreciated the moments of levity sprinkled throughout.
