I was immediately invested in their dynamic and wanted to know how things had gotten to that point. The bittersweet tension in those early chapters is masterfully crafted. It was enough to make me want to keep reading and to see where the story was going.
What Works Well
The character development, particularly in the initial chapters, stands out. The interactions between the demon lord and the saintess are complex and well-written. The author does a great job of exploring their contrasting ideologies and how they begin to understand each other despite their differences.
