Description
Imperial Princess Yuxi tumbled off her horse, suffering a severe head injury that left her with memories only from before the age of twelve, evoking sentiments of pity among the court officials. To everyone’s surprise, Princess Yuxi herself found solace in this new reality. Awakening to find herself the Crown Princess, second only to the emperor and above ten thousand others, with her imperial younger brother doting on her, she felt quite content. However, there was one peculiarity: at twenty-two years of age, she was without a consort. Determined to rectify this, Princess Yuxi resolved to find herself a husband. During a palace banquet celebrating longevity, her gaze fell upon an exquisite man, as if descended from the heavens, whose countenance shone with a warm smile yet betrayed cold depths within his eyes. Satisfied with what she saw, the princess sought him out even before the feast concluded. “Are you married?” The man replied with gentle humor, “Not as of yet.” Perfectly pleased, Princess Yuxi nodded. “Tomorrow I am to visit a temple to offer incense; I expect you to escort me.” The man hesitated, his gaze momentarily intensifying, “Your Highness has suffered a serious fall; perhaps it would be best to summon the imperial physician another day.” His tender concern and attentiveness won over Princess Yuxi, who insisted he must come to the Princess’s Mansion. But no sooner had her joy lingered than someone informed her that the man she had just approached was none other than the Prime Minister, Fu Anian, from whom the Princess had recently divorced. Princess Yuxi: … So it wasn’t that she lacked a consort; rather, she had been divorced. Reading Note: 1: The female protagonist’s initial initiative is driven by her desire to uncover the reasons behind the divorce. She never declares that she will marry no one but the male protagonist. Please refrain from characterizing her actions as desperate or clingy. Those who do not enjoy a proactive female lead are kindly advised to choose a different novel; your understanding is appreciated.

My Thoughts on The Crown Princess Loses Her Memory
The Crown Princess Loses Her Memory is a completed historical romance that I found to be a fairly quick and easy read, clocking in at a 3.6/5 stars. While it didn't blow me away, it had some charming elements that kept me engaged.
First Impressions
Initially, I was intrigued by the premise of a crown princess losing her memory and reverting to her twelve-year-old self. This amnesia plot device injected a good dose of freshness into the story, and I was eager to see how it would impact her relationship with the male lead, especially since their marriage had previously ended in divorce.
What Works Well
I particularly enjoyed the princess's behavior during her amnesia. The way she acted like a child, throwing tantrums and boldly expressing her feelings, felt quite realistic and was a refreshing change from her more mature, reserved self. Her interactions with the male lead during this time were often entertaining and heart-fluttering. I also appreciated the translator's work.
Areas of Concern
While the initial amnesia arc was enjoyable, I did find myself somewhat disappointed as the story progressed. Once the princess regained her memories, she seemed to lose some of the charm and spontaneity that had made her so appealing. I also found myself getting frustrated with the female lead's attitude after the remarriage. She often seemed unreasonably angry and spoiled, despite the male lead's obvious devotion. The miscommunications between the two were a bit overdone and felt like unnecessary drama at times.

Final Verdict
Overall, The Crown Princess Loses Her Memory is a decent read if you're looking for a lighthearted historical romance with minimal angst. While it has its flaws, the initial amnesia arc and the rebuilding of the relationship between the leads offer some enjoyable moments. However, if you're seeking a deeply complex or emotionally resonant story, you might want to look elsewhere. I'd say it's a solid 3.5-star novel that's worth checking out if you're in the mood for something easy and entertaining.
