My Thoughts on Rocket Science Love
"Rocket Science Love" had been on my radar for a while, and I finally dove in, eager to experience this mature romance. With its tags promising angst, complex relationships, and a satisfying HE (happily ever after), I was definitely intrigued. Overall, I found it to be a worthwhile read, though not without a few minor hiccups.
First Impressions
The initial chapters immediately pulled me in with their slice-of-life feel. I appreciated the glimpse into the daily routines of pilots and the aviation industry, something I haven't encountered much in BL novels. I also have to say the writing style is straightforward and movie-like, which made it easy to visualize the scenes and feel connected to the characters.
What Works Well
The portrayal of unrequited love truly resonated with me. The author did a fantastic job capturing the raw emotions and internal conflicts of Seo-jin as he grapples with his feelings for his best friend, Jae-yi. I found myself completely invested in their relationship, rooting for them despite the obstacles in their path. The chemistry between the two leads was undeniable, and the intimate scenes felt natural and plot-driven. Many readers praised the character growth, particularly Seo-jin's journey. His transformation felt organic and well-developed, making him a relatable and compelling protagonist. I also loved the international aspect of the story, with settings spanning across Korea, Germany, France, and more. The attention to detail in each location added a layer of authenticity and immersion to the narrative.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the slow-burn romance, the pacing might not appeal to everyone. The main romantic development doesn't really kick off until around chapter 40, so patience is key. I also felt that the ML's POV could have been integrated earlier in the story. Gaining more insight into his thoughts and feelings throughout the narrative would have enriched the overall experience.

Final Verdict
Despite a few minor shortcomings, "Rocket Science Love" is a captivating and emotionally resonant BL novel. The well-developed characters, realistic portrayal of unrequited love, and unique international setting make it a standout read. If you enjoy angst, slow-burn romances, and stories that make you feel, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
