My Thoughts on My Yandere Husband
First Impressions
"My Yandere Husband" promised a quick and intriguing dive into the world of a villainous female lead and her, shall we say, unique marriage situation. Right from the start, the premise hooked me. Lilith, our FL, finds herself in an arranged marriage with Damien, who was apparently the original novel's second male lead and happens to be an incubus. The setup is ripe for drama and, of course, a touch of the ecchi genre. I went in expecting a rollercoaster of emotions and maybe a few dark twists.
What Works Well
The pacing is definitely a strong point. The story moves quickly, making it a breeze to read in one sitting. I appreciated how the author established Lilith's initial intentions – teetering on the edge of divorce – before the story really kicked off. It created a nice sense of tension and uncertainty. The dynamic between Lilith and Damien is also compelling, especially as she begins to see his genuine affection for her. The comments from other readers within the story itself was a creative way to add another layer to the narrative.
Areas of Concern
While the story is enjoyable, its brevity is also its biggest weakness. I, like many readers, was left wanting more. The "yandere" aspect, which is a major selling point, felt somewhat underdeveloped. Damien's possessive tendencies were hinted at, but they didn't quite reach the level of intensity I was expecting. I felt that exploring the yandere theme to its full potential would have added significant depth and complexity to the plot.

Overall, "My Yandere Husband" is a fun, fast-paced read with an interesting premise. While the short length and somewhat underdeveloped yandere elements leave something to be desired, the engaging characters and unique narrative make it worth checking out if you're looking for a quick and entertaining romance. I'd give it a solid 3.8 out of 5 stars. I am hoping the translation will continue to further build on the established world.
