The initial premise is classic: average guy gets dumped for the school heartthrob. Ouch. It's a setup ripe with potential for character growth and satisfying retribution.

The initial betrayal is definitely a hook. I found myself immediately invested in seeing how the MC would bounce back. And the way he meets the "beautiful friends" of the heartthrob is pretty unique.
