Description
The existence of the second child, Karina, who was the successor’s youngest twin and the one who wasn’t as competent as her sibling, has been concealed by the people around her all her life. One day, she finds out that she only has one year left to live. So, she foolishly visited her fiancé, whom she has never had an exchange with. Along with the divorce papers that he longed desired for. “Frankly speaking, I want to stay here for a year.” “….. Are you crazy, Miss?” “I’ll break off the engagement.” But she didn’t know at that time. “It seems that you keep trying to pretend that you don’t know, so I should definitely tell you then.” “Pardon?” “I am fond of you.” It didn’t occur to her that she would receive attention and affection from him without anything in return. So she comes to desire this much for a life without regrets.

My Thoughts on Limited Extra Time
"Limited Extra Time" promised a rollercoaster of emotions, and boy, did it deliver. I went into this novel knowing it was tagged as a tragedy, but nothing could have prepared me for the sheer heartbreak. It's a story that sticks with you, prompting deep reflection on family, love, and the preciousness of time.
First Impressions
The premise is immediately gripping: a female lead, Karina, with a terminal illness caused by her artistic ability, seeks refuge with her indifferent fiancé after enduring years of neglect from her family. It's a classic set-up with an aristocratic, European-esque setting, and while some elements felt a tad cliché initially, I quickly became invested in Karina's journey.
What Works Well
What truly elevates this story is the raw, emotional depth. The author masterfully portrays the characters' feelings, making it impossible not to empathize with them. The romance, while starting off with a somewhat cold male lead, blossoms into something genuinely beautiful and supportive. The male lead's growth from indifferent to devoted is compelling, and I appreciated how the story allowed him to mature and learn. The side stories, though initially confusing to some, ultimately tie everything together and give a deeper meaning to the title, offering different perspectives and timelines that enhance the overall narrative.

Final Verdict
Despite the tragic ending and some initial reservations about the translation quality (MTL can really muddy the emotional impact), I found "Limited Extra Time" to be a profoundly moving story. It's a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the importance of cherishing every moment. If you're prepared to shed some tears and experience a rollercoaster of emotions, I highly recommend giving this novel a read. Just be sure to have a box of tissues handy! I'm giving it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
