Okay, that title is a mouthful, right? But beneath the verbose name lies a story that, while seemingly a quick dip into a familiar trope, had some interesting elements that caught my attention.
First Impressions
The premise is classic villainess reincarnation: a protagonist reborn into a game world, determined to avoid the bad ending. In this case, our heroine is leveraging her mother's magical abilities to interfere with the destined love story, all in the name of self-preservation. The European ambience is definitely present, adding a layer of classic fantasy charm.
What Works Well
The focus on the villainess's perspective is a definite plus. Instead of just seeing her actions through the eyes of the "main" characters, we get her internal monologue and motivations, which I always appreciate. The "love interest falls in love first" trope is also present, which I'm a sucker for. The story also tackles a mature theme with the inclusion of sm*t, that some readers might appreciate.
Areas of Concern
The one-shot nature of the story means that the plot moves quickly, perhaps too quickly for deep character development. While the sm*t is present, the reviews did not rate it highly. The story might have benefited from more fleshed out scenarios.
