My Thoughts on I’m Disturbed to See The Future of The Villain
I've been diving into "I’m Disturbed to See The Future of The Villain," and it's been a mixed bag of enjoyment and frustration, to be honest. The premise is intriguing: a transmigrated MC stuck in the body of a neglected wife who foresees a grim future. I found myself drawn in by the European-esque setting and the promise of a strong female lead navigating a treacherous world.
First Impressions
Initially, I was hooked. The author does a solid job of establishing the MC's dire circumstances and the political landscape. The writing is clear, and I could easily picture the settings and understand the relationships between characters. The whole "hiding true identity" aspect, mixed with the "maid" trope, definitely piqued my interest.
What Works Well
The world-building is a strong point. I appreciate the attention to detail in depicting the MC's daily life and the complexities of the relationships around her. The author creates a believable atmosphere of intrigue and danger, which kept me turning the pages. I also enjoyed the MC's resourcefulness and her attempts to use her knowledge of the future to her advantage. The concept of her medical knowledge being a key asset is also a refreshing change from the usual overpowered MC.
Areas of Concern
However, I did find myself occasionally bogged down by the pacing. There were moments where the story felt unnecessarily drawn out, particularly in the early chapters detailing the OG Garnett's life. While I understand the need to establish the setting, some of those scenes felt a bit too detailed for characters who are quickly discarded. The "accident after accident" plot devices also started to wear thin after a while.

Final Verdict
Overall, "I’m Disturbed to See The Future of The Villain" has potential. The world-building is engaging, and the premise is intriguing. However, the pacing issues and some questionable plot devices hold it back from being a truly exceptional read. I'd give it a tentative recommendation, but with a warning that it requires some patience.
