My Thoughts on I’m a Villain, Okay?
"I’m a Villain, Okay?" is a wild ride that really took me by surprise. It's a blend of action, comedy, and a touch of the supernatural, all wrapped around a protagonist who's trying his darnedest to be bad but keeps accidentally doing good. The premise alone hooked me, and for the most part, the execution kept me entertained.
First Impressions
The initial setup is compelling. Our MC, driven by a tragic past involving his sister and a justice system that failed him, decides to become a villain to attract attention and ultimately, exact revenge. The world is a modern one where people can develop superpowers, leading to the rise of both heroes and villains. It's a well-trodden trope, but the MC's motivations and his chaotic approach to villainy make it feel fresh.
What Works Well
The humor is definitely a standout. The MC's plans constantly backfire, leading to absurd situations and hilarious interactions with other characters. I found myself laughing out loud at his antics, especially as his attempts at villainy are constantly misinterpreted as heroic acts. The action sequences are also well-written and engaging, keeping me invested in the story. The yandere heroine who cleans up after him adds another layer of chaotic fun to the narrative. I particularly enjoyed the way the story explores themes of justice, revenge, and morality in a lighthearted yet thought-provoking manner.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the majority of the story, I can see how the later chapters might not appeal to everyone. Some readers felt that the story took a strange turn towards the end, and that it might be best to stop reading after the MC completes his initial goals. This is a valid point, as sometimes stories lose their way when they stray too far from their original premise.

Final Verdict
Overall, "I’m a Villain, Okay?" is an enjoyable and entertaining read. The humor is spot-on, the action is engaging, and the premise is unique. While the ending might not be perfect for everyone, the journey itself is worth taking. If you're looking for a lighthearted superhero story with a morally ambiguous protagonist and plenty of laughs, this might be right up your alley. I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
