First Impressions
Right off the bat, I was drawn in by the premise. A story with adopted children, amnesia, and a celebrity setting? Sign me up! I was curious to see how the author would juggle these elements, and for the most part, I think they did a pretty good job. The initial setup is intriguing, and I was eager to unravel the mysteries surrounding the characters.
What Works Well
The characters are a major highlight. The female lead is fantastic— relatable, a little mischievous, and definitely not a pushover. And the male lead's journey is captivating. He starts off as the stereotypical cold CEO, but gradually reveals layers of vulnerability, shyness, and possessiveness that made me swoon. The development of their relationship felt natural, even with the added complexity of his split personality. I also appreciated the humor sprinkled throughout the story. It kept things light, even when dealing with heavier themes.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the overall story, I did have a few reservations. The "face-slapping" moments felt a bit unrealistic and jarring. Also, some of the side couples felt a little forced and disconnected from the main storyline. They could have been removed and the story would not suffer.
