My Thoughts on I Don’t Need A Husband
Okay, so I jumped into "I Don’t Need A Husband" with a fair bit of anticipation, given the premise and tags. I’m always on the lookout for a good strong female lead who knows what she wants, and this one seemed promising. After reading a good chunk of the available chapters, here are my thoughts.
First Impressions
Initially, I was hooked. The setup is intriguing, and the initial interactions between the main characters were definitely engaging. There's a certain charm to the dynamic, and I appreciated the effort put into establishing their personalities. It felt like we were building towards something exciting, a good romance with some spice thrown in for good measure.
What Works Well
The early chapters really shine in terms of character development. I found myself genuinely liking both the female and male leads. The author does a solid job of portraying them as individuals with their own motivations and flaws, which made them feel more relatable. I also appreciated the world-building; the European-esque setting felt immersive and added to the overall atmosphere of the story. Plus, the translation quality is definitely a plus – nothing pulls you out of a story faster than clunky prose.

However, as the story progressed, I did start to notice a bit of a slowdown. The plot seemed to meander somewhat, and I felt like I was seeing the same character beats repeated.
