Description

"Every Day, the Marshal is a Love-Struck Fool for Me" promised a lighthearted romance, and while it delivered on some of that, I found it to be a surprisingly plot-heavy sci-fi adventure with a dash of shounen ai. It wasn't quite what I expected, but I still enjoyed the ride.
First Impressions
I'll be honest, the first few chapters threw me for a loop. The story dives right into the futuristic setting without much explanation, leaving me feeling a bit disoriented. Some of the initial translations were a bit rough around the edges, making it harder to grasp what was going on. However, I stuck with it, and I'm glad I did, because the translation quality improved significantly after the first few chapters.
What Works Well
The core of the story, the dynamic between the MC and ML, is definitely a highlight. The MC's mysterious nature and hidden abilities added an intriguing layer to the plot. I also appreciated the unique take on the guideverse genre, exploring the origins of Sentinels and Guides in a way that felt fresh.

Despite my enjoyment, there were some aspects that left me wanting more. The ending felt a bit rushed, and several plot threads were left unresolved. I was curious about the MC and ML's childhood connection, and I wished the author had explored that further. Also, the "lovesick fool" aspect of the Marshal, as advertised in the title, was more prominent in the beginning and less so as the story progressed, which was a bit of a letdown.
