Description
“A valuable guest is coming. Make sure to prepare well.” When CEO Jung Taeon came down to Yonghwadang and said he would stay for a month, Sahee didn’t think much of it. To the shaman of Yonghwadang, who relied on the sponsorship of Jeongmun Group, he was a precious guest. But Jung Taeon, with his arrogant smile and condescending gaze, eventually made her fall in love with him. She knew. It was a feeling she should have discarded. Wasting time on something as foolish as love was too costly for Jung Taeon’s life. Moreover, as a cripple, she knew she could never walk in step with him.

My Thoughts on Dog’s Deed
"Dog's Deed" definitely piqued my interest, and after diving in, I can see why it has a dedicated following. The blend of adult themes, romance, and a touch of drama creates a compelling narrative that's hard to put down.
First Impressions
Right off the bat, the premise is intriguing. We have a classic setup: a powerful, wealthy businessman and a woman from a vastly different social background, complicated by a disability. It's a trope we've seen before, but "Dog's Deed" seems to put its own spin on it. I was immediately curious about how their relationship would develop, especially given the power dynamics at play.
What Works Well
The male lead is a major draw. He starts off as somewhat of a "mean guy" with a developing crush, but evolves into someone deeply affectionate and willing to change for the female lead. This "I will change for you" trope is always a winner in my book! The female lead, despite her circumstances, is portrayed as intelligent and self-aware. I appreciate that she isn't a damsel in distress who is completely helpless. The story really shines in portraying the male lead's intense longing and awareness of the female lead. It's this depth of emotion that elevates the story beyond a simple romance. The story gives off the vibe of a damsel in distress being saved by a hero, where both of the characters fit well.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Dog's Deed" is a satisfying read that delivers on its promises. While the premise might be familiar, the execution, particularly the character development and emotional depth, makes it stand out. If you're looking for a mature romance with a strong male lead and a compelling female protagonist, this might be right up your alley. I'm definitely adding it to my list of novels to keep an eye on!
