My Thoughts on Dirty Business

"Dirty Business" promised a rollercoaster of emotions, and it certainly delivered... though perhaps not always in a way I enjoyed. This adult romance dives headfirst into the murky waters of misunderstandings, obsessive love, and power dynamics, making for a story that's both captivating and, at times, incredibly frustrating.

The premise is intriguing: a reunited couple haunted by a past shrouded in mystery. The boss-subordinate relationship adds a layer of tension, and the promise of "smut" certainly piqued my curiosity. I went in expecting a steamy, angsty read, and I got exactly that, albeit with a few caveats.

His manipulations, born out of a desire to keep her close, ultimately undermine the relationship's foundation. And while the "smut" tag is present, the actual steamy scenes are few and far between, with more emphasis on kissing and tension than explicit content.

"Dirty Business" is a mixed bag. While the angst and mystery are compelling, the frustrating communication and questionable character choices make it a difficult read at times.
