It's not all bad, though. The underlying plot, outside of the central romance, is intriguing enough to keep you somewhat invested. I found myself wanting to know what would happen next in the overarching narrative. There's a certain addictive quality to the drama, even when it's frustrating. I can definitely see the appeal for those who enjoy a good dose of angst and high stakes.

However, the core relationship between the leads is...problematic, to say the least. "Toxic" feels like an understatement. The male lead's possessiveness veers into obsession, and it creates a dynamic where the female lead seems to have little agency. The lack of communication between them is a major sticking point. Misunderstandings pile up, and instead of addressing them head-on, they just fester and create more drama. I found myself yelling at my screen more than once, urging them to just talk to each other! I also found her lack of suspicion about her sudden martial arts knowledge a bit baffling, it felt like a plot point that was glossed over a little too easily. The constant "little munchkin" references should have raised some red flags, but she just seems to brush them off.
