Initially, the concept of a beekeeper using their knowledge to thrive in a magical world was appealing. The idea of magical honey and evolving bee breeds sparked my imagination. The early chapters hinted at a blend of slice-of-life and adventure, which is a combination I often enjoy.
What Works Well
The core concept remains the strongest aspect. The blend of beekeeping with magical elements is genuinely creative. I found myself drawn to the potential of the world and the possibilities that magical bees could unlock. The "By the Grace of the Gods" comparison resonated with me, as I appreciate stories where a protagonist uses their knowledge to make a positive impact in a new environment.
Areas of Concern
Unfortunately, several issues detract from the overall experience. The protagonist's personality seems to be a point of contention. Some find him to be calculating and lacking emotional depth, even bordering on sociopathic tendencies, which makes it difficult to connect with him.
