Description
It’s been four years since the zombie outbreak. The world has collapsed, but humanity has not yet been wiped out. Min Ahyeon, a former national shooting team representative and a deserted soldier, is a famous mercenary among the survivors. The sole reason she takes on dangerous mercenary jobs is to find her one and only brother who went missing during the zombie outbreak. But the traces of her sibling are gradually fading away. In front of the despairing Ahyeon, someone appears. “Long time no see?” Name: Shin Hae-jun.Characteristic: A dog will execute any command from the military without hesitation. a.k.a. “Military Dog.” “Shut it, don’t call me Lieutenant. I really can’t stand the sight of you.” A bitter feud between Ahyeon and him. Smiling warmly at Ahyeon’s refusal, Shin Hae-jun said. “I wish we could work together on a job.”“If we succeed, I’ll give you information about your missing brother. How about that?” Ahyeon tried to reject his proposal, but she couldn’t ignore the information he was offering. “But it’s strange.”“The fact that you don’t get bitten by zombies.” Having learned Ahyeon’s secret by accompanying her, Shin Hae-jun traps her as if he’s been waiting… “Yo-you h**ny bastard…”“The term ‘military dog’ means it f*cks as well as it fights. Didn’t you know?” Shin Hae-jun licks the tears at the corner of Ahyeon’s eyes and bites her nape. “Ahyeon-ah.” “I’ve wanted to be inside you for a long time.”

My Thoughts on There Are No Bad Military Dogs
First Impressions
"There Are No Bad Military Dogs" throws you headfirst into a world teeming with zombies and military intrigue, and honestly, I was hooked from the start. The premise is solid: a tough-as-nails female lead with a mysterious past teams up with her former instructor, a fiercely loyal "military mad dog," amidst an apocalypse. It's a recipe for action, romance, and a whole lot of suspense. I was definitely intrigued by the initial setup.
What Works Well
The biggest strength of this novel, in my opinion, lies in its characters. Min Ahyeon, the FL, is a fantastic protagonist. She's not your typical damsel in distress. A deserter-turned-mercenary with a sharp tongue and even sharper shooting skills, she's driven by a desperate search for her younger brother. I found her to be compelling and easy to root for. Shin Hae-jun, the ML, is equally intriguing. His unwavering loyalty to the military and his apparent interest in Ahyeon create a dynamic that's both tense and captivating. The story seems to be exploring the reasons behind Ahyeon's distrust of him, adding another layer to their relationship. The action sequences also stand out. The author does a great job of creating a sense of urgency and adrenaline, making you feel like you're right there in the middle of a zombie movie. The mystery surrounding Ahyeon's past as a possible test subject also adds an intriguing layer.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the overall premise, there is a concern with the pacing. The initial chapters are strong, but I hope the author will maintain this level of intensity throughout the story.
Final Verdict
Overall, "There Are No Bad Military Dogs" is a compelling read that blends action, romance, and mystery into a satisfying package. The strong characters, thrilling action sequences, and intriguing plot points kept me invested, and I'm eager to see where the story goes next. It's a solid 4/5 for me.
