"The Returnee Wants Peace" initially hooked me with its premise of a female protagonist returning to a world steeped in European-esque fantasy and game elements. The idea of a game ranking system influencing noble society, alongside artifacts and godly powers, promised a compelling read. I was eager to dive into a story with a female lead navigating aristocracy with the knowledge of her past life. The engagement cliche, while common, sounded like it had a unique spin, which piqued my interest further.
What Works Well
The world-building is definitely a strong point. The blend of fantasy elements and the rigid structure of the aristocracy creates a fascinating backdrop for the story. I found myself intrigued by the potential of the game-like elements integrated into daily life, and the mysteries surrounding the artifacts and godly powers. The translation also seems to be well-executed, which is always a huge plus and makes the experience significantly more enjoyable.
Areas of Concern
