First Impressions
Initially, I was wary. The premise, with a transmigrated MC entering the body of the ML's "wife" in a cultivation world, sounded like a recipe for disaster. I was concerned about potential forced relationship dynamics and the dreaded "dog blooded s*um ML" archetype. I can see why some readers dropped it early on, fearing the worst.
What Works Well
However, I was pleasantly surprised! The novel subverts many of the tropes it initially presents. The relationship between the MC and ML is complex and develops gradually.
