Initially, the story hooked me with its whimsical world and the sheer adorableness of the dragon. The dynamic between the protagonist and the baby dragon is definitely a strong point, and I was eager to see how their relationship would develop. The shoujo elements are also apparent, making it a comfortable read for fans of the genre.
What Works Well
The strongest aspect of this novel, in my opinion, is the sheer "aww" factor. The author does a great job of portraying the dragon prince's cuteness, making it easy to become invested in his well-being. The fantasy world is also well-developed, with hints of magic and aristocratic intrigue that kept me curious. I also appreciated the focus on the protagonist's role as a caretaker; it adds a unique dimension to the typical fantasy romance.
