Description
One day, I picked up a person who lost his memory. He is very big and he has a devilishly beautiful face, but he behaved like a seven-year-old child. I thought he was abandoned because of his condition. I brought him home and took care of him sincerely. At first, he caused many accidents like a troublemaker, but he became more precious to me day by day. As their bond grew stronger, a man chasing after the whereabouts of the child appeared in a small county estate. In a desperate attempt to escape and in order to save the child, he pays the witch a price to save the child…And so, the child’s identity was exposed as the ‘cursed prince’.

My Thoughts on Sleeping Beast
Alright, let's dive into "Sleeping Beast." This one's been on my radar for a bit, and after reading through what's available, I've got some thoughts. It's definitely a unique read, blending familiar fairy tale elements with a darker, more mature twist.
First Impressions
My initial impression was intriguing. The blurb piqued my interest, but I wasn't quite prepared for the unique blend of tropes I encountered. It's like the author took "Rapunzel," "Sleeping Beauty," and "Beauty and the Beast," threw them in a blender, and added a dash of mature themes for good measure. It grabbed my attention immediately.
What Works Well
The world-building is quite compelling. The author does a great job of creating a European-esque atmosphere, complete with aristocracy, nobles, and all the schemes and conspiracies you'd expect. I found myself drawn into the setting and wanting to learn more about the mysterious family backgrounds and the curse that seems to be at the heart of everything. The male lead is also quite handsome, which never hurts, and the promise of romance (and smut) definitely adds another layer of appeal.
Areas of Concern
While the story starts strong, I'm a little hesitant to give it a full-throated recommendation just yet. It feels like the plot could easily become convoluted with all the different elements at play. I need to see how the author balances the fairy tale aspects with the more mature content to ensure the story doesn't lose its way.
Final Verdict
Overall, "Sleeping Beast" has a lot of potential. It's a twisted fairy tale with a mature edge, a compelling world, and an intriguing mystery. If you're a fan of the genres and tags listed, especially if you enjoy a darker take on classic stories, I'd say give it a try. Just be aware that it's still early in the translation, and the full picture is yet to be revealed. I'll be keeping an eye on this one to see how it develops!
