My Thoughts on Sense
"Sense" definitely grabbed my attention with its unique blend of genres. While I'm generally wary of medical dramas, especially those from China, "Sense" seemed to offer something different, and I wasn't disappointed for the most part.
First Impressions
The premise itself is intriguing. A protagonist with heightened senses navigating the complex world of medicine? Sign me up! I was immediately drawn in by the idea of a genius doctor who actually works hard to hone his skills. It's a refreshing change from the usual "instant expert" trope that plagues many web novels.
What Works Well
What I appreciated most about "Sense" was the protagonist's dedication. Dowook's drive to learn and perfect his craft felt genuine. The author does a great job of showing his hunger for knowledge and his commitment to becoming the best doctor he can be. The supporting characters, especially his boss and Chief Ha, added depth and charm to the story. Their interactions were often adorable and provided a welcome contrast to the more intense medical scenes. The easy-to-read style and consistent updates also contributed to an enjoyable reading experience. I particularly liked the portrayal of the character with ASD, which felt unique and engaging.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the majority of the story, I have to admit that the ending left me a bit puzzled. The shift towards fantasy elements felt somewhat out of place, and I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about it. It wasn't necessarily a bad ending, but it was definitely strange and unexpected.

Final Verdict
Overall, I found "Sense" to be a worthwhile read. Despite my reservations about the ending, the well-developed characters, intriguing plot, and unique premise kept me hooked. If you're a fan of medical dramas with a touch of sci-fi and a protagonist you can root for, I highly recommend giving "Sense" a try. Just be prepared for a slightly unconventional ending.
