Description
“You’re a werewolf?” “Yeah.” “Are you joking?” “I’d rather be joking.” “Have you been vaccinated against rabies?” On a full moon day when the werewolf’s instincts become stronger, Ha-eun follows team leader Joo Won and learns his secret. “We will do it again next time.” Ha-eun’s face brightened. Thanks to that, she looked even more delicious. Joo Won continued, remembering how sweet Ha-eun had melted that night. “You will be begging me to imprint you.”

My Thoughts on Red Cloak
"Red Cloak" promised a modern werewolf romance, and as a fan of the supernatural genre, I jumped right in. It’s a fairly quick read, which can be a blessing or a curse depending on what you're looking for. Ultimately, I found it to be an enjoyable, albeit somewhat simple, story.
First Impressions
The premise is definitely intriguing: a boss, who's secretly a werewolf, falls for his subordinate. The "accidental" first encounter during a full moon sets the stage for a whirlwind romance. The initial chapters pulled me in with the promise of steamy encounters and the mystery surrounding Doyoon's true nature.
What Works Well
The central relationship between Seoyeon and Doyoon is definitely the highlight. The author does a decent job of portraying their connection, even if I personally felt it could have been explored in greater depth. If you're looking for a story with a lot of explicit content, this one delivers. The plot is relatively straightforward, making it easy to get invested without getting bogged down in complex world-building or intricate subplots. Also, I appreciated the lighthearted tone and the lack of excessive drama. The misunderstandings, when they arose, were resolved quickly, which kept the story moving at a good pace.
Areas of Concern
While I enjoyed the overall story, I did find myself wanting more in certain areas. The revenge aspect of the plot felt somewhat underdeveloped. I think it would have added another layer of satisfaction if the antagonists had faced more significant consequences for their actions. Also, the story focuses almost entirely on the main couple, which leaves other potentially interesting characters feeling a bit neglected.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Red Cloak" is a cute and entertaining read if you're in the mood for a light, supernatural romance with plenty of steam. While it might not be a groundbreaking masterpiece, it's a solid choice for a quick and enjoyable escape. I'd recommend it if you're a fan of the werewolf genre and don't mind a simpler plot with a focus on the romantic relationship.
