Description
Haewon, a violinist, is a nonchalant person who neither blocks the ones who come into his life nor holds onto those who leave. One day, his only friend, Taeshin, commits su*cide, and after failing to speak to Taeshin, who called him several times shortly before his death, Haewon is haunted by his death, even though he doesn’t have much of an attachment to human relationships. Then, he inevitably runs into Woojin, the man Taeshin had a crush on, and Haewon indifferently crumples up the business card Woojin hands him. One day, Haewon, forced into an unwanted relationship, becomes entangled in an assault case, but thanks to the business card given to him, he receives help from Woojin, who’s a prosecutor. Haewon feels uncomfortably guilty and tries to keep him at arm’s length, but Woojin is comfortable enough to take a few extra steps.

My Thoughts on Into The Thrill
"Into The Thrill" is definitely a novel that lives up to its name. Diving into this story was like stepping into a world of complex relationships, morally grey characters, and a plot that kept me guessing at every turn. It's not a light read, but if you're looking for something that will stick with you long after you finish, this might just be it.
First Impressions
Right off the bat, I was intrigued by the premise of two seemingly incompatible individuals drawn together by a shared tragedy. Haewon, the apathetic protagonist, and Woojin, the obsessive control freak, make for a dynamic that's both captivating and unsettling. The author wastes no time in establishing the dark, sensual atmosphere that permeates the entire novel, and I found myself immediately drawn into their twisted world.
What Works Well
The character development is where this novel truly shines. Watching Haewon's indifference slowly melt away as he grapples with his feelings for Woojin is a fascinating journey. And Woojin, with his antisocial tendencies and struggle to understand emotions, is a character I simultaneously pitied and feared. The author does an excellent job of portraying their internal conflicts and the ways in which they influence each other.
I also appreciated the suspenseful plot and the clever use of classical music to enhance the atmosphere. The story is full of twists and turns, and the changes in perspective kept me constantly engaged. The author knows how to build tension, and the reveals are often shocking and satisfying.

Final Verdict
"Into The Thrill" is a dark, complex, and ultimately rewarding read. It's not for the faint of heart, but if you're looking for a story that will challenge your perceptions of love, morality, and human nature, I highly recommend giving it a try. Just be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions and a few sleepless nights.
