I Don’t Want to Attack You! Review & Spoilers - Novel Translator
My Thoughts on I Don’t Want to Attack You!
"I Don't Want to Attack You!" is definitely a unique read, diving headfirst into a world of fantasy, romance, and a healthy dose of the spicy stuff. The premise alone is wild enough to grab your attention, and I found myself chuckling at the sheer absurdity of it all. It's the kind of story you pick up when you want something lighthearted and a bit silly.
First Impressions
Okay, so the initial setup is...out there. A drunken night, a handmade nose-glove for a pink elephant, and suddenly our female lead is being pursued by the most handsome man in the world, courtesy of said elephant-god. It's bonkers! The humor is definitely a selling point, although I can see how the translation might impact the comedic timing for some.
What Works Well
The comedic element is a major draw. The ridiculousness of the situations the characters find themselves in is genuinely entertaining. I also appreciated the romance that develops between the leads. Despite the forced intimacy at the beginning, the story manages to build a connection between them that becomes quite endearing as it progresses. I found myself rooting for them, even amidst the chaos. Plus, the story is complete and relatively short, making it an easy and satisfying binge.
Areas of Concern
While the absurd plot is entertaining, it does lead to some issues. The initial forced intimacy and dubcon elements might not sit well with all readers. I also felt the ending was a bit rushed. It would have been nice to see more of the female lead's personal growth and a deeper exploration of their relationship after they finally get together. I was left wanting more closure and a better sense of their future.

Final Verdict
"I Don't Want to Attack You!" is a fun, albeit flawed, read. If you're looking for a story that doesn't take itself too seriously and are okay with a bit of absurdity and some early dubcon elements, you'll probably enjoy this. Just be prepared for a slightly rushed ending that might leave you wanting more. I'd recommend it for a lighthearted, spicy escape, but with the understanding that it's not a perfect masterpiece.
