"Fortunate or Unfortunate" promised a lighthearted romance with a dash of aristocracy, and for the most part, it delivered. I went in expecting a cute, fluffy story, and I wasn't entirely disappointed.

The initial chapters definitely hooked me. The bickering between the leads was genuinely entertaining, and the overall tone was light and fun. I was easily drawn into the world and found myself rooting for the couple early on. The European-esque setting and the hints of family drama added an extra layer of intrigue that kept me turning the page.
What Works Well
The characters are definitely a strong point. I found the female lead relatable and appreciated her perspective, even when misunderstandings arose. The supporting characters, from the loyal employees to the extended family, felt fleshed out and contributed to the overall warmth of the story. I especially enjoyed the familial love that was present. The author's writing style kept me engaged throughout, and I never found myself bored, which is a definite plus. The villains were also sufficiently annoying, making their eventual downfall all the more satisfying.
