The first arc definitely grabbed my attention. The high stakes and constant threat of death created a thrilling atmosphere. I immediately became invested in the protagonist and his fight for survival. The concept of the escape game itself, with its intricate rules and terrifying challenges, felt fresh and well-executed.
What Works Well
The author has crafted a truly engaging game setting, filled with diverse locations, formidable villains, and brain-teasing puzzles. I especially appreciated the strategic element, as the MC and his companions navigated the deadly challenges. Many readers have praised the author's creativity in designing these games, and I agree – they are a highlight of the novel. The characters, despite some flaws, were also compelling. I found myself rooting for them, even though I knew the odds were stacked against them. The humor sprinkled throughout provided a welcome contrast to the dark themes.

The romance, while present, felt somewhat rushed. I would have preferred a more gradual development of the relationship between the MC and ML.
