My Thoughts on Divorce Begins with Remarriage
"Divorce Begins with Remarriage" immediately grabbed my attention with its refreshing take on the aftermath of infidelity. It's a drama-filled fantasy romance that steers clear of some overused tropes, and I found myself easily invested in the female lead's journey.
First Impressions
What I appreciated right away was the FL's reaction to her husband's betrayal. Instead of wallowing in self-pity, she actively seeks a divorce and begins to reflect on her own naivete. The premise avoids the common isekai or regression plot devices, which is a definite plus in my book. The initial chapters set up a compelling scenario where the FL needs a "meat shield," as some readers put it, to escape her ex-husband's harassment. It's a situation that feels both dramatic and, sadly, believable.
What Works Well
The character dynamics are definitely a high point. The ex-husband is portrayed as a consistent, if unlikeable, character, and his regret isn't some sudden, convenient epiphany. The male lead, Duke Roberto, is another strong element. He's an upright character with his own baggage, and his interactions with the FL are genuinely heart-fluttering. I enjoyed the subversion of typical tropes, such as the FL being the one to initiate the marriage proposal and wanting to protect the ML. The fact that she falls in love first is a delightful twist. The world-building, with its European ambience and aristocratic setting, is also well-executed.
Areas of Concern
My main concern stems from the ongoing status of the novel and the translator's notes. The uncertainty surrounding consistent updates does cast a shadow, and I can understand why some readers might hesitate to fully invest themselves in the story until more chapters are available. Also, while it didn't bother me personally, I can see how the cover art might not appeal to everyone.

Final Verdict
Despite the potential for inconsistent updates, I'm optimistic about "Divorce Begins with Remarriage." The strong female lead, engaging plot, and romantic elements make it a worthwhile read. If you're looking for a divorce story with a fresh perspective and a sweet male lead, this one is definitely worth checking out. I’m giving it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
