My Thoughts on Devil’s Music
"Devil's Music" is quite a ride, a blend of musical genius, supernatural elements, and a dash of family drama. It's a story about Geon, a protagonist blessed (or perhaps cursed) by a demon with looks, brains, and musical talent, who navigates the world while collecting holy power through his music. It certainly grabbed my attention.
First Impressions
Initially, I was drawn in by the premise – a Korean music-esque novel with a supernatural twist. The early chapters promised a unique blend of modern entertainment and demonic influence. The idea of a character using music to influence and uplift others is inherently appealing.
What Works Well
Geon himself is a compelling character. His pure heart, creative drive, and willingness to forgive those who've wronged him make him easy to root for. His passion for music is infectious. Also, the integration of angels, demons, and the impact of music on the world is fascinating. The author paints a vivid picture of how music can move people and even influence the supernatural.
Areas of Concern
One of the biggest issues I encountered was the confusing timeline. The story seems to be set in a past era, with references to the Korean War and Elvis, yet it also features modern technology like smartphones and social media. This lack of clarity can be jarring. Another area that could be improved is the depth of the supporting characters. Some felt a bit one-dimensional.

Final Verdict
"Devil's Music" has a lot of potential. The concept is intriguing, and the protagonist is likable. However, the confusing timeline and somewhat shallow character development hold it back. If you're willing to overlook these flaws and enjoy a story about a musically gifted individual battling supernatural forces, "Devil's Music" might be worth a try. I'd give it a tentative 3.5 out of 5 stars, hoping that future updates address some of the concerns.
