Description
“You can’t meet anyone else after leaving me.” An arrogant remark echoed in her ears. Jiwook lightly grabbed her chin and lowered his gaze. “So stop the pointless arguments. It’s tiring, you know.” He made it sound like it was a real nuisance. Seowoo pushed his hand away and spoke up. “I hope you won’t ruin even the good feelings we had until now. I don’t want to be left with just terrible memories.” Even the memories of their passionate and thrilling twenties felt like fading away completely. She hoped desperately that it wouldn’t be so, because it would be so sad for her to lose those memories when she was barely surviving on them. “Are you trying to erase those memories?”“No. It’s even more dreadful this way. Don’t come back anymore. This is not a request, it’s a warning.” Her heart sank. Despite seeing her struggling not to collapse, he remained unmoved. “Seowoo.” Jiwook’s piercing gaze landed on her. “We had two children between us.” In the end, Seowoo’s face completely crumbled.Children. Miscarriage. Jiwook spoke the words, knowing how incredibly heartbreaking they were to her. “You were pregnant with my child twice, I’m not letting you go.”“How… how can you say such a thing now?” His painful words turned into daggers, stabbing into her heart. Jiwook gently wrapped his hands around her trembling shoulders and calmly spoke. “So you change your mind first. Before I break it and bring you to my side.”

My Thoughts on Dazzling Divorce
"Dazzling Divorce" is definitely an emotional rollercoaster, a story packed with enough drama and angst to keep you hooked, even when you want to throw your e-reader across the room. This novel explores the tumultuous relationship of two lovers who are repeatedly torn apart by fate, misunderstandings, and a whole lot of external pressure. Be prepared to feel all the feels.
First Impressions
Going in, I knew this wouldn't be a lighthearted read. The tags alone – tragedy, divorce, possessive characters – were a clear warning. The initial setup, childhood friends reunited, quickly spirals into a world of complex family dynamics, career pressures, and ultimately, heartbreaking loss. The beginning can feel a bit slow, but stick with it, because the story picks up considerably as the characters deepen and the conflicts intensify.
What Works Well
The raw emotion is what truly shines in "Dazzling Divorce." The author does a fantastic job of portraying the deep love between the main characters, even amidst their struggles. I found myself invested in their journey, rooting for them to overcome the obstacles life threw their way. The side characters also add a lot to the story, feeling realistic and contributing to the overall narrative. The male lead's eventual realization of his shortcomings and his subsequent efforts to make amends were definitely satisfying. Seeing him work to earn back the female lead's trust and rebuild their relationship made the initial frustrations worthwhile.
Areas of Concern
The biggest issue I had, and I think many readers share this sentiment, is the sheer amount of miscommunication. It's almost comical how easily misunderstandings escalate, leading to unnecessary pain and separation. The female lead's tendency to remain silent, even when directly asked about her feelings, can be frustrating. I also questioned the male lead's actions early on, especially his initial approach after their reunion. His lack of understanding and consideration for her feelings contributed significantly to their problems.

Final Verdict
Despite its flaws, "Dazzling Divorce" is a compelling and ultimately rewarding read. If you're a fan of dramatic romance with a touch of tragedy and are willing to endure some frustration along the way, then this novel might be for you. Just be prepared to experience a rollercoaster of emotions and maybe keep a box of tissues handy.
