But that wasn’t true. 「 ‘Tower of Trials’ has selected all suitable candidates from Earth. 」「 Please select your difficulty. 」「The chosen difficulty will be directly proportional to your rewards. 」 I was given a chance now. My Thoughts on Boundless Necromancer
"Boundless Necromancer" presents a familiar yet intriguing take on the tower-climbing genre. While it doesn't completely reinvent the wheel, it offers enough unique elements to keep me invested, at least for now. It's a blend of action, adventure, and fantasy with a protagonist who, despite some early stumbles, shows promise.
First Impressions
Initially, I was a bit hesitant. The early chapters felt somewhat generic, and I was worried about the protagonist's initial lack of progress and the believability of his motivations. The setup felt rushed, and I wasn't entirely sold on the world-building. I wondered if this would be another dime-a-dozen Korean gate fantasy.
What Works Well
The core concept of a necromancer protagonist who relies on skill and stat stealing is compelling. I appreciate that the MC isn't portrayed as an edgy edgelord, but instead as someone determined to make the most of his abilities to prevent future tragedies. The accelerated growth aspect is also handled fairly well, with the MC not becoming overpowered overnight. The system of Radiance and Conquer is a clever way to manage the MC's growing skillset.
Areas of Concern
I do have some reservations. The stat system feels somewhat arbitrary, and the power scaling can be inconsistent. At times, the plot seems to rely too heavily on convenient coincidences, making the MC's progress feel a bit too easy. Also, some of the monologues can be a bit drawn out. The world-building could be more fleshed out.

Final Verdict
Overall, "Boundless Necromancer" is an enjoyable read with some caveats. It's not perfect, but it has enough going for it to keep me coming back for more. If you're a fan of tower-climbing stories with a unique twist, it's worth checking out. Just be prepared for some inconsistencies and a protagonist who may not always make the most logical choices. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.
