Hyewon often felt like a pawn in his game, and her agency seemed diminished. I struggled with the power imbalance and the way she was sometimes treated. The constant "makjang" – Korean drama term for extreme and over-the-top situations – could be exhausting. Just when I thought things were settling, another incident would throw everything into chaos.
